Proofreading in Process

UPDATE #1: Edits have been implemented for AWAKEN THE DAWN, and the book has been sent for PROOFREADING 🎉🎉🎉
UPDATE #2: I've been compiling the deleted scenes (Stretch Goal) as well as editing the dream sequence ($4 on the 4th) and the bonus scene (Clue #3 tier or higher). These are coming along really well, and I'm working on deciding which deleted scenes can be released sooner rather than later and which will have to wait until you have your books (due to spoilers).
WHAT'S NEXT - After proofreading it's just the formatting, so we're getting very close!
I'll post another update at the end of the proofreading stage AND I'll be figuring out which deleted scenes to send soon and which will have to be sent with the books (due to spoilers).
IN THE MEANTIME - I've been posting reels of the various characters on social media. Here's a fun one for Maksim...

BIG NEWS 🎉🎉🎉
My editor got the manuscript back to me, and her edits and suggestions have been AMAZING. I'm so impressed (and incredibly thankful) for her candor, knowledge, and attention to detail. 📚🖊️💙
I've been going through her notes and implementing changes, and I'm happy to report that I'm already 60% of the way through 🎉
As soon as this phase is finished, AWAKEN THE DAWN will enter the proofreading phase, which shouldn't take as long because it's mostly looking for typos (although I should note that there are two rounds of proofreads here, but the second is even faster than the first because it's a final review before the book goes to print).
I'll keep everyone posted on progress!

THIS IS A REPEAT POST. I'm traveling at the moment and just realized my last update somehow got marked as FOR BACKERS ONLY.
Some of ATD's supporters are "off-Kickstarter," though -- meaning, they supported the book in some way, even if they didn't back it here -- so I want to make sure they can see this update also. So if you've already seen the last update, you can disregard this one (it's literally a repeat of the last one, but I made it public)....

Hi everyone! Not much to report, but wanted to let folks know a few quick things:
- I've been in contact with my editor. She has a multi-stage process for editing, and she is done with the first stage. 🎉 I've asked for an estimated timeline from here. I'll post the info here as soon as i have it (I also need to estimate time for proofreading and formatting, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there).
- All scene has been completed! 🎉🎉 There is one more piece from a dream sequence that Jonna Blankenship is working on, but I consider it more clue art because this element is part of the scavenger hunt. I can't wait for y'all to see these amazing pieces!
- I'm working with my print printer/distributor, doing tests and making sure i understand their system so things go smoothly when it's time to get these print copies of AWAKEN THE DAWN created.
I'll post more soon (as soon as I hear back again from my editor). In the meantime here is a cute pic of my doggies, who now have a bookstagram account (they are helping me read and review books). Feel free to follow them if you fancy that kind of thing: @BookstaDogs (IG, FB, THREADS).
