Replica Lockets Have Arrived

Look what just arrived..... 

 Replica lockets from the book!

These lockets are like the locket Kat receives in the book, with inscription, and you'll find they're like the one Jonna Blankenship designed for the limited edition.

The team is excited for how the fulfillment process is coming along. ATD is with the editor, and I'm gathering the deleted scenes for the other stretch reward (those will include some behind the scenes explanations of why the scenes had been there before and why they have since been cut).

Editing (in progress) + Working on Book Two

Quick update! 

AWAKEN THE DAWN is with my editor, and editing is in progress. I've double-checked with her on the timeline, as well. We're still on schedule as outlined in the Kickstarter (yay!) with the possibility for having the early pre-release copies in people's hands and e-readers before Thanksgiving. 

As a reminder, the limited edition will take longer because of the bonus chapters and such. We're still estimating one month after the early pre-release copies are sent out. I'll keep everyone posted. 

In other news, I've been working on revisions for Book Two, and they are coming along really well. It's odd being "out of" Romania for this one (Book Two is set in France), but it's been good, and I'm really happy with the revisions so far. More on that later.

PLEASE REMEMBER: If you haven't filled out the survey, please do that. You won't be able to get one of your stretch goal rewards until that's complete (only because I won't know what to send you - you have options to choose from in the survey!).

Happy Friyayyy! (First Set of Stretch Goals....SENT)

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope everyone has a fantastic and safe weekend, and be sure to check your email, because your first set of stretch goals have been SENT! 

The emails should be coming from BackerKit. If you didn't receive one around 4:40pm (16.40) EDT, definitely check your junk mail or spam folders. Sometimes when an email has links, email services miscategorize the incoming message. 

Here's what everyone should have received: 

• Digital artwork of Kat 
• Digital artwork of Maks
• Digital artwork of one of the Stefans (the one inspired by Tom H. or the one with the creative/fiery backdrop

NOTE: If you haven't finished your survey, you did not receive the download for Stefan. BUT IT'S NOT TOO LATE. We still need that survey information, so please do complete those. As soon as you do, we will send you that stretch goal reward (you should have received the other two).

If you did NOT receive the email/notification from BackerKit PLEASE REACH OUT AND LET US KNOW. BackerKit support is available to help during the week, and you can also just comment here or send a message.

Surveys Almost Finished (Stretch Goals Coming)

Mulțumesc foarte mult to everyone who has filled out the surveys. These surveys are very important, because they contain questions about how we will fulfill your rewards. 

One of the questions was about which Stefan people wanted (we let backers choose between two). 

Most of these surveys have been completed, so BackerKit is going to help me send out the first batch of stretch goals - the digital artwork of the protagonist and antagonist of the story, Kat and Stefan (whichever Stefan you chose, that's the Stefan you'll receive). 

REMINDER: We'll also be sending BONUS ARTWORK of Maksim!

Speaking of artwork, I wanted to share some more limited edition artwork that's been coming in. This is from a scene in Brasov (Transylvania), created by artist Krystal_1204. 

Kat and Maks have discovered some very important clues, which award-winning artist Jonna Blankenship has also created for the limited edition. I'm so excited for how the limited edition, with these amazing artists, is bringing the story to life!

The Limited Edition can still be added to orders through the add-ons section in BackerKit (at the very end of the surveys). The limited edition e-book bundle is even discounted, as it was for the Kickstarter, at $12 (includes limited edition for both books: AWAKEN THE DAWN and FOOTSTEPS).

Remaining Surveys (SENT) + Reminder about Shipping

The remaining Surveys have been SENT. If you have any questions, you can reach out to me on here OR Backerkit support is available during the week (they're on Pacific time).

Someone reached out after receiving their survey and had a great question. Wanted to take the chance to remind everyone how Post-Campaign Shipping works....

So...Kickstarter has collected their part (that's the pledge), and Backerkit (who is in charge of fulfillment) will charge the shipping WHEN WE FULFILL THE ORDERS (this Autumn). 

NOTE: There was ONE PLEDGE TIER that glitched for US shipping and kept our initial estimate in there. This was only a handful of backers, and we couldn't change it by the time we caught it (after the campaign went live), so that handful have already paid for shipping. Everyone else will be charged as per the Kickstarter campaign. 

If you're not sure if you've paid shipping or not, feel free to send a message! We will look up your order specifically and let you know. And so you don't have to go far to find it, here is the Kickstarter story section with the Post-Campaign Shipping info:

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. Every Kickstarter is slightly different so it can be a bit nuanced, but Backerkit is super helpful (and nice!), and we're all willing to help.
